Oakland - East Bay Chapter

Oakland-East Bay Chapter received its charter on June 19, 1952 from IMA with a chartered membership of 118.  The Chapter logo was conceptualized and designed by Past President Arvid Frende in August 1990 and unanimously adopted by the board of Directors in September 1990 as the official logo for the Chapter.  The various components symbolize:

The Oak Tree is the foundation of the Oakland-East Bay Chapter

The Clasped Hands signifies the fellowship of being in the Institute of Management Accountants.

The Lamp of Knowledge symbolizes the educational benefits of membership in IMA.

The Small Circle with arrows pointing in symbolizes the group and the Smaller Center Circle with arrows pointing out symbolizes the individual.

The Circle within a Circle represents the networking benefits of IMA membership.

The Forward Sloping Arrow represents the leadership potentials of service and to strive onward and upward.
